After working in the field of finance since 1972, and being a Mortgage Broker since 1977, I decided to start Nova Financial Services Inc. March 1, 1985. Subsequently we joined The Verico Group in November 2005 and the company changed its name to Verico Nova Financial Services Inc.
Integrity in mortgage consulting has always been important to me and because of this I became one of the Founding Members of the Mortgage Brokers Association of British Columbia (MBABC now DBA CMBA-BC) and a Charter Member of the Canadian Institute of Mortgage Brokers & Lenders (CIMBL) now called Mortgage Professionals Canada (MPC). In recognition of my contribution to both associations and to the mortgage industry as a whole;
- I was one of the six initial inductees into the Canadian Mortgage Hall of Fame by CIMBL (2004); and
- I was one of the three the initial recipients of the Pioneer Award (Lifetime Membership) from MBABC (2005).
